Dress Code

DBDC encourages all dancers to choose the attire option that makes them feel most comfortable, regardless of the traditionally assigned gender. Dancewear can be purchased from any store of your choice. Twiggz in Mic Mac Mall is a great local option.

  • 6 & Under Program

    Tumble Tots:

    Participants are invited to wear comfortable activewear. There is no specific uniform for this class.

    Little Steps & Creative Movement:

    Combo Class:

  • Recreational Program

    Acro:

    Participants are encouraged to wear fitted activewear for ease of movement. For safety while learning skills, dancers are required to participate barefoot. There is no designated uniform for this class.

    Hip-Hop:

    Participants are invited to wear comfortable, loose fitting activewear and clean indoor sneakers. There is no specific uniform for this class.

    Leaps & Turns and Contemporary:

  • Competitive Program

    Acro:

    Dancers must wear a leotard and shorts for this class. For safety while learning skills, dancers are required to participate barefoot.

    Hip-Hop:

    Participants are invited to wear comfortable, loose fitting activewear. Classic Converse black high top sneakers with white soles are mandatory for all competitive hip-hop dancers.
